SERVICES
Contingency Collections
Contingency Collections is our core business. The goal at
MB&W is to provide superior service to you while preserving
your customers' willingness to keep doing business with you--after
of course, they've paid their delinquency.
We collect more because we do more.
Our Account Managers (not a dialer with a recording) make
at least three phone contact attempts with all accounts within
the first 15 days the account reaches our office. During the
critical initial call, our objective is two-fold: identify
and resolve any dispute that is preventing payment and to
get the account PAID IN FULL. Phone contact is made at least
once every 10 to 15 days. A variety of reports are run on
a daily/weekly basis to ensure this standard is met. Each
contact has the same goal: always get the account resolved.
The impact of our collection correspondence is dramatic. It
is the finest in the industry. We find it gets read faster
and produces more impact than traditional "form letter"
collection correspondence.
Litigation is recommended only if the balance justifies it
and there are identified, attachable assets that an attorney
can execute on once the judgment is obtained. In the event
of a lawsuit you will be contacted first for authorization.
Your only cost is the court cost. We will never charge a non-contingent
suit fee.
Early-Out Programs
Most companies find that their receivable portfolio follows
the 80/20 rule: 80% of the dollars outstanding are made up
of only 20% of the customer base. If staffing is an issue,
the 20% of the A/R does not get covered. This is where an
early-out program makes sense.
The underlying premise of our Early-Out Program rests on CRM
(Customer Relationship Management). Often, the only way a
creditor finds out about a problem is if they contact the
customer. We provide this early contact by phone and/or correspondence.
As with all of our services, no dialers, no minimum wage personnel
and no inexpensive form letters are employed.
Frequency of letters and calls are defined after we have a
thorough understanding of your needs and the environment in
which you operate. Our personnel have designed programs for
Fortune 100 companies, as well as those with annual sales
of less than $20mm.
Outsourcing Programs (On-Site or
at MB&W)
Cost reductions via outsourcing, along with stronger technology
investments, can make a company more profitable. However,
there is no "predefined" solution for your company
in A/R Management. In order to design the program we do the
following:
- Define the objectives. Identifying
quantifiable goals are requisite for a project's success,
i.e. is it cost-reduction or increased cash flow or both?
- Meet with the line personnel doing
the work and spend a full week or more with them in order
to develop an understanding of the actual process (rather
than management's perception of the process).
- Flowchart the process as it presently
exists (in practice, not concept).
- Flowchart the proposed solution.
- Dedicate the promised resources
to the project.
EDI, through use of ACH or other vehicles,
is available as daily funding can be crucial to the program's
success and sometimes even to the client's ongoing viability.
Training
Our comprehensive training in collections goes beyond entry-level
basics. We put emphasis on the sales concept of collections.
We teach this through an interactive, audience participatory
program. Programs can be specifically aimed at any aspect
of the collection process, including dispute resolution, teaming
up the sales and credit departments, skip tracing, deductions
and a myriad of other issues. Our fee is $1000 per day plus
expenses. A discount may be available if there already exists
a relationship with MB&W and the client.
Asset-Based Lender Programs
Asset-Based Lender Programs always incorporate tremendous
urgency in getting immediate results-a perfect challenge for
MB&W. That is precisely what we do better than any other
firm. Because our heritage is collection-centric, we place
a greater focus on collecting money without litigation than
virtually any other player in our marketplace. Creditors have
come to rely on us to "work out the receivables"
and keep collections outside the courtroom.
The "openness" provided by our software, RAPPORT,
allows multiple parties to have access on a real-time basis
to the work we are doing on a day-by-day and hour-by-hour
basis.
